those rankings don't matter lol

otherwise kami would be #1 in bvb, which is wrong lulz. for example, the top 4 rankings in base are farmed. here's how you know. good players like to be challenged, and thus, they may lose really difficult matches. that's why killerpig, corr, and lufe, who are [were] the 3 best basers on BC have win %s of 68.29%, 73.13%, and 79.35%, respectively.

People leaving pvp because they can't take nearly losing and/or cry about op armour/items.
While I agree with the losing part, I disagree with the OP items part. I mean, just objectively look at what the OP items did to this game. They largely contributed to the inactivity in both PvP and BvB. From a long-term standpoint, playing with/against those type of items isn't fun. It's kind of like playing Skyrim with cheats on. Sure, it might be fun for a short period of time, but it gets really boring really quickly. What happened here is just another example.

BC has always been P2W, but at least you realize that now. However, the unfortunate reality is that lots of online games are P2W, so I doubt you'll ever find a much fairer game. Imo, you're better off playing offline games.

lots of stuff...

but i guess the most important stuff would related to pvp/bvb and a lack of variety in both modes. i feel like the things that would fix most of these problems would be the following:
-have a stat cap for pvp/bvb so the stats of armor with both primary and secondary stats get rounded down to whatever level bladess/cpu/rapid impaler +7 is... this will fix your problem with an RT1/2 patch owning the base in 5 hits, and players with this armor still get the insane stats for sector mode. this also doesn't prevent these players from entering a no op items tag room.
-if it is possible, make it so II skills do I skill damage (ie upper II does upper 1 damage) so there is no need to use an op tag and limit the number of players that enter your room
-fix merc drop rates to make base more strategic*
-adjust the stats of some mercs*
-remove TG as a stat from e.f.s and minibots and replace TG with HP (so a +4 e.f./minibot would have HP, crit, and sp)

* = don't do this without someone who is an expert

these are my 2 cents. if you don't want to do this stuff, that's your decision. however, i believe these things will make bc much more enjoyable and you might get some of your older players back.

No point in wasting time with hardly any players.
Actually, this is true. Base would never get an update, especially when you consider how slowly sector updates are being made. Obviously base needs an update, but it's never going to get one. Base is not a profitable mode, largely because of how BC was designed. If BC had gone a different direction, base could've been profitable. However, ultimately, it's not really the admins' fault for lack of updates to base mode; it's the community's collectively. The community wanted (and maybe still wants... idk because I don't regularly check anymore) updates that just kept on making their stats better, and the admins ultimately just gave the players what they wanted. So, if you "really want to fix/update base," you're going to have to take a completely different mentality towards the game, which is realistically not going to happen.

So, regardless of what you guys claim you want, base is not going to get an update, and it will probably remain dead for the rest of BC's lifespan.

These are just my 2 cents from just being around this community forever, but I honestly think that what I said holds a lot of truth. That being said, I don't consider myself part of this community anymore.

Meh, I would say the easiest way to fix this is to decrease the non-member level cap to 172. That way, there's very little to change. I think that increasing the non-member level cap was one of the worst ideas. Although I personally don't care about member benefits that much, modifying the level cap did take away a lot of the "good" extras that members had.

General Discussion / Re: Can't wait

^Because it's poor reasoning that something that is more popular is definitely better. The example still makes sense because ross is implying that all things more popular are better than things that are not as popular. I just gave one counterexample of many that exist. It just so happens that LoZ vs. CoD is a very common one, and it proves my point nicely.

ya got 3 modes to chose from, sector, pvp, and base which one is the best? dont even bother to make a case just look at how many rooms there are.. sector 25.. pvp 1.. base.. what a surprise theres none!
more popular /=/ best

LoZ: OoT vs. any CoD game
Commonly regarded as the best game of all time, OoT only sold 7.6 million copies. Black ops 2 sold 24.2 million copies, and it has a pretty bad single player and good multiplayer.

by your logic, any CoD game is vastly superior to OoT, which isn't true at all >_>

also, you have to keep in mind that the old bots community is much different than the new bots community. in bots, there were relatively few "hardcore grinders," but there were a lot of pvpers and bvbers. things just change over time, but that doesn't inherently mean that sector is now superior to pvp/bvb; it just means that it is more popular.

uh i'd say multiplayer is generally more popular than single player.

the legend of zelda: ocarina of time, largely regarded as THE best game of all time, sold 7.6 million copies. the best selling zelda game is twilight princess, which sold 8.39 million copies if you add both the gc and wii sales.

call of duty black ops 2 sold 24.2 million copies as of november 5, 2013. pretty much everyone who plays call of duty plays online almost exclusively. the campaign is awful, and everyone i know goes right to the multiplayer.

i would say that the numbers show that from 2 popular franchises of different games, multiplayer is generally more popular. of course there are exceptions such as super mario bros., which has sold 40.23 million copies when combined over multiple platforms, but it's highly unusual for single player games to outsell popular multiplayer games. most mario games have not sold as many copies as cod black ops 2 has, just to put things into perspective.

links i used to prove i'm not just making the numbers up

yup delete my post because it contains a lot of truth and the fact that zeal actually does contain good basers. my point still stands because after looking at your member list for redemption the only 3 good/solid players you have are jon, tze, and ross ._.

for the record, i'm not saying that this makes your guild bad, but please don't make up a bunch of bs. your guild focuses on sector, fine, but don't act like just because you have jon that it automatically makes redemption god tier at base or something

ok gm ur right
lets stop the arguing yz

truce, friend? :)

maybe we can have friendly bvb war whenever is most convenient for you ;)
actually not joking that would be fun
ya but it wouldn't be fun for 2 reasons

1) no zeal people play so there can't be an actual "friendly war"
2) they'd get rekt, and it'd be really boring .-.

Suggestions / Re: Guild points.

it's really quite simple. here's a hypothetical situation:

let's just say that i am playing league of legends, and i don't really like it because i find it boring. even if there are people i like in the lol community, it's not going to stop me from quitting the game. i would simply keep in contact with the people i like. that's just common sense.

on the other hand, if i really like a game but hate the community, i'm still going to play the game. let's use cod as an example. most of the people on cod are literally 10 and are autistic, but since i find the game fun, i still play it sometimes.

i'm not trying to be a smart ass, but this is quite literally one of the most obvious things ever. we don't live in 1950 where the only way to communicate with people we like is to play football or something. i don't really like the game itself either, except base, which is dead. as a result, i don't actively play this game, but i do keep in contact with some of the people in this community i do like via skype.

@on topic, this is super pointless because there are other ways to gain GP other than playing sector.

also, i'm not even going to bother responding because i generally avoid internet arguments, and frankly, i don't even care about the suggestion in the slightest.
