Add The Avira way as well :-

1.to the Main UI and Extra–>Configuration

2.This will lead you to the configuration window , Then do what the arrows show !

3.When you finished them all , you may find that Avira will still defect them when you are doing your normal file scanning . That's because you have just add them to the Guard 's Exception but not the scanner ! OK , They are just the same , in fact ,  just scanner–>scan–>Exception –>ADD

Bit Defender:-

1.       Switch to Expert View by using the Options menu in the upper right corner.

2.       Open the Antivirus section, and in Shield tab click the Advanced Settings button.  Check that Active Virus Control is enabled.

3.       Access the Exclusions tab.

4.       You can exclude an application from Active Virus control by adding a rule in the Exception table, by clicking the "+" sign.

5.       Search for the application and point to its executable file. For example, to add a rule for Internet Explorer, first click the "+" sign, then specify the path to the executable file of the application.

6.       Notice that a rule will appear in the table with the default action Allowed.

7.       From the drop down list you can decide to allow or block it.

8.       To complete this task, click OK.

Avast:

1.Open the administration console.

2.Navigate to NETWORK > Edit group settings > Expert settings > I'll take the risk..

3.Find 'avastcfg://FileSystemShield/FileSystem/ScanException' property and amend its value with the exclusions you want – see examples:
<RW>C:\path\to\file.ext;
<RW>?:\exclusions\also\sup?ort\wildcards\*;

oh and if anyone has a different antivirus and is familiar with it, be a doll and post solution here

i just downloaded the latest avg (trial version) and it gave me some troubles with zylonshield.dll. my version of avg isn't the one in the tut. so i'll post how i avoided the problem on my version:

-open avg
-go in the "antivirus" section
-at bottom left there is a button that should be called "manage exceptions", clikc it
-at this point i was lazy so i clicked on "add path" and selected my BC folder, this way i added the entire content of the folder to the exceptions; if you want to be more selective you can click on "add file" and select the exact files that gives you troubles
everything fixed in 2mins c:

(PS: no pictures and button names may be wrong because i don't have the english version of the program)
