You've got a pretty dark, dull colored render so your background shouldn't be a 1/4 rainbow.

I'm kinda wondering why you chose orange-brown for those block by your text.

Um...too much liquify? (I think that's what you did....)

Yeah...not much more to say except practice=improvement.

You would burst out laughing if you saw how bad my first sig ever was compared to yours.

I actually like it...a lot more than I thought I would.

But then again, I think I'm biased towards more simple...yet nice looking sigs, as you can probably tell from some of the stuff i've made in the past.

I would do something about the text on future sigs.

Good job overall.

I use http://www.brusheezy.com/ when I need something quick.

It will feel very boring learning the basics, but you will need to start somewhere.

As for the background,

Assuming you already have your empty canvas (File>New)

Just grab one of the tools on the left and start filling it up.

Some key tools are the brush, eraser, and paint bucket tools.

Just try all the tools out. Get a good feel for how things work.

As Nuc said, tutorials are gonna be a big part of your learning, especially at the beginning.

Again with the text, I would make it more visible. I don't mean make it stand out but don't make it so people need to squint to see it.

I would also do something about that pink-ish C4D on the left? I got no clue what it's purpose in the sig is.

Hmm...yeah, so nice lighting around the guy...not much else to say.

Hey everyone.So my name is Kyle, but my IGN is Nefarious, which I'm sure you'll recognize if you've played any good Ratchet and Clank games. New to the BoutCheetah forums but I've spent A LOT of time back in the day (06-07ish) playing Bots and hanging around their forum under the name, kgp777. You'll probably see me hanging around the GFX section more often than not. Hope to get to know you all better.
