I jail broke my own i-touch just fine(5.0.1)
and now i am trying to jailbreak my friends i-touch but its stuck on "waiting for reboot" even after the i-touch is done rebooting
i Google'd but every single person says something different

You need to download the ipsw and select it manually, hope that will help ;)
