So for the past few days, my comp's been acting weird. The taskbar is gone, the sound is gone, and you can't copy/cut and paste anything (ctrl x,c,v don't work). I've tried restoring my comp through cmd (since I cant get to it through taskbar), but it won't let me. Restarting doesn't fix the problem either.

All the programs act normally; I can play bots, go on firefox, etc.

Got any tips? D;

Hello, please install Team Viewer 5, and I will see what I can do for you. PM me the id/pass.

Open the task manager, and click "New Task..."
Tell it to open "C:\".

It sounds like your problem is that your explorer.exe (the Windows GUI) process is not running.
Running the task "C:\" runs the explorer.exe by opening a new GUI window.

Close the process and re-open it.
When you run the task "C:\", please tell me if a window comes up.

The explorer is responsible for the GUI.
The taskbar, the icons, everything.
Are you saying SOME of the GUI is there, and SOME of the GUI is NOT?

t41nt3d_s1n

Yea. Task bar is gone. Icons are there.

Right click an icon on the desktop and click copy.
Then right click the desktop and click paste.
Tell me if anything happens.

Or you could let me on TV, either works.

Have you backed up all the files that matter to you?

Allie

Kenny, you'll have to try to fix this.
I was on his TV for an hour trying, I failed.

The only thing I can suggest is to backup everything you find important and re-install the OS.

Backup everything ASAP.
Then turn off your computer.
When it's starting, press 'ESC' and multiple options should appear.
Choose the option that most closely resembles 'System recovery.'
Then a window should appear that should give you the option of returning your computer to factory condition.
Do it.
When it's done, you computer should be fixed.
