How much do you know about BoutCheetah: 90% of BC stuff
Why should you be an in-game moderator: i think i can help the community in addition to helping others is one of my hobbies & some people respect me others not but i think i can let them change their mind
Good app, won't tell who it is

BoutCheetah In-game Moderator Application:
IGN:
Hello Allie, I am. My in-game level is 221 and I've been playing since basically the start of BoutCheetah (through multiple IGNs).
Here's my knowledge of the history your game:
-Started in June of 2009
-Built essentially from scratch as the original release only had login-server
-Membership designated for $3.00 per person, not automated
-Went down in April of 2010, a quote from Allie claims it was a result of Acclaim
2010
----
-Came back in June of 2010, completely wiped, in Beta
-August, beta ends
-August 24, Membership becomes automated (at the price of $5.50), commands added
-August 25, Acclaim shuts down
-October 31, Original Halloween set released (everyone who logged in got a set of their BOT type)
-November 3, Coin part prices were risen to reflect the growing amount of Coins in the game
-December 25, Santa and Rudolf Shield and Mini-bot released for the first time (traditionally released every Christmas)
-December 31, the current drop table was released
2011
----
-January 27, original web-client released (as a chat-only feature, currently not functional)
-February 24, server released in C# (previously in Java)
-February 26, pay-by-phone membership released
-March 4, Super doubler removed, all members get 2x gigas/coins/experience automatically
-March 16, ZylonShield original release, packet encryption released
-March 21, Relay server released to allow players who cannot connect to connect
-July 7, current skin released
-July 17, current website skin released
-July 23, +6/7 released
-July 28, buying gigas/coins released
-September 10, tags released to modify in-game content
-October 31, Halloween Shield/Shoulder/Trans released (everyone who logged in got either Shield or Shoulder)
-November 3, Staff Member Applications board removed
-November 11, High Resolution released
2012
----
-January 5, Bot stract patch released, in order to lower the "over-powered" nature of BoutCheetah
-March 31, new Launcher released
-June 16, Survival Mode released
-September 4, Leech skill released
-September 20, Guild revamp and Experience overhaul
-October 15, Guild Co-Leaders and other miscellaneous Guild GUI updates
Here's some useful (though rather common) knowledge I know about your game today:
General
-------
-Halloween set with Shield, Shoulder and Trans allows for stats to be boosted to a comparable level with 196+5 parts.
-@commands in lobby tells of all commands in the game at this time.
-@tags in room tells of all the tags in the game at this time.
Sector
------
-I can name every level by level number and name, from [Lv1]Training to [Lv239]Jura's Requiem.
-I know of and commonly use the Drop List available on the website, and can endorse others to use the same.
-Members have 500 more luck, allowing for significantly more drops the more members are in the game, which is significantly less important than Lucky Auras themselves (200).
Survival
--------
-Survival allows for multiple rounds, with the last round constantly respawning.
-Items are only dropped from Boss mobs.
-Tier of the items are determined when you pick up the item, not when it drops (meaning you have to reach Tier 3 yourself to get the part).
-Tier 3 parts are stronger than +7 parts around that level, but are incredibly difficult to get.
PvP
---
-Botstract equal to the players level is dropped on a kill.
-The person who gets the last hit gets the kill.
You should pick me for in-game Moderator because I am a loyal, hard-working and active player in your game. I take my time and pass judgement fairly, in an entirely non-immature way (I'll bet you've never seen me being immature in-game). My knowledge of your game (and BOTS!! itself from Acclaim) is extremely vast, and I'd be willing to research anything I do not know in order to be the best I can be, for the benefit of your company, Zylon Gaming.
Thank you so much for reading my application, and hopefully considering me for the position.
where is my app :\ bad or good?
That's one hell of an application.
@Ian, you weren't chosen, guess.
ik but there where like 10 good applications mentioned in the post about the new moderators, so i would like to know where mine stands.
So we were suppose to list down everything we knew about BC? ::)

300 luck from members > 200 luck from lucky Aura. Yet you said that the luck bonus from members "is significantly
less important than Lucky Auras themselves." You probably made a mistake and wanted to say; "is significantly
more important than Lucky Auras themselves."
knowledge about wat happened to the game is nearly useless imo
same for knowning the name of every level in the game
imo the application sucks for the content but is good for the effort

A good application should be more leadership wise then content about the game imo.
If Ross made an application, the reply to the; "How much do you know about BoutCheetah:" section would not fit in one PM, if he stated everything he knew about BC. ::)

knowing stuff about the game is standard; you would expect a candidate to know the game nearly inside out.
take out the massive chunk of information that should be present in all candidates (they're just not egotistic enough to put it down) and what you have is an app thats a paragraph larger than #1, the bad app. sure, it has the presentation and better language but back in the day we didnt have a wall of knowledge.
apps should show personality and history! #bringbackappsection2k12righthererightnowyolo

I disagree entirely. An app should show dedication and loyalty. This app shows the person cared enough to spend hours on a professional application. In the real world, this application would have obtained the job, though some skills and evidence of knowledge beyond research (though research really says something about the person in itself) would have been nice.

you did know how it worked before, right? when a candidate was successful in his/her app, he/she was moved into [accepted] and waited for an opening for whatever position they were applying for.
@allie
dedication and loyalty? this isnt the soviet army theyre signing up to geez. yes it must be professional and as i said before, brownie points are awarded for it but if were now in the real world and, say, i apply for microsoft, if i gave them a 1000+ wad of paper on the history of the company they would laugh in my face and throw me out by the neck and belt.
research is vital, yes, but it being present in the app isnt. infact, its totally unnecessary.
In my opinion, actions speak louder than words. I feel that an application is not a very good way to choose a in-game mod.
For example, people that know stuff about the game will write it, but it doesn't mean they will make a good mod. If you have seen a player answering questions, being outgoing and kind, and helping other players, wouldn't you want that then sombody who can just write what they know and have a possibility good mod?
Note*** I still very much like all of the new staff.
can i be a mod if i type out the history of bc.

Having spent this much time and dedication to an application, DOES show what kind of person you are, and how much u want it.
I think this would have deserved Modship right away, if no other applications were alike.

@madprox if showing time, dedication. And `how much u want it` was the main part of deciding who is a mod i think i would have been a mod a long time ago. Theres obviously more too it then that.
Guys, it was just an exemple. As Tricky said, there were many others long apps which didn't make it. I'm against this kind of "system" because many of you complain and get mad easily if we don't approve you "job". It's not only the app. I can make a perfect app full of lies. So, maybe you did a good app, but your actions aren't good enough.

When we were reading the Mod applications we found some very well written applications and some poor applications.
Some of these well written applications did not get Mod because we did not think they were telling the truth or someone else made a much better application then he/she made and would have been better as a Mod.
The bad application were just bad and they didn't take their time and didn't seem to care.
We did pick the best applications however we also looked who was actually trying to help in-game.
So basically am saying here is if your application was great, but you didn't help in-game you wouldn't of became Mod.
All of these new Mods we picked had well written application and helped in-game.

I am not saying the new mods will not be good mods but I am saying I dont feel that they deserve it and it sounds like their good applications got them accepted not how much they actually helped and worked for it.
Okay Cooky, who do you think would make a good Mod?

would have been great choices. They are online everyday and spend a lot of time in the lobby. When players ask questions, these people answer them.

An app should show that the person is dedicated, but it should also show good leadership and experience. That application didn't show very much leadership and experience.

I swear to god everytime i say anything that goes against what staff thinks its 'causing drama'
its pathetic
This is a forum I am allowed to voice my opinion, now you've created drama by opening up the can of worms and calling it drama.
make more gifs.
cooky you make drama everytime
just look at the older rant thread, or at the youtube video, or at the little slices of drama spread in your posts

@madprox if showing time, dedication. And `how much u want it` was the main part of deciding who is a mod i think i would have been a mod a long time ago. Theres obviously more too it then that.
not just that, but it does increase the value of your app imo

Die mother ****ing hard laughed at this. His app was in the top 10 worst. Gah.
Codepurple was in the 10 we were considering. As was Angrod. Angrod was heavily endorsed by Tricky, but his app fell short (he even submitted a second one, which STILL wasn't spell checked) causing me to deny him for not making an effort.
Essentially, we picked the best apps, say around 10 players (the current mods and codepurple included) and looked at their history, their activity, their behaviour, and what they have and can do for our company.
Cooky was planned as one of the mods until he ruined it. He wasn't denied for a bad app, or for not helping in-game, he was denied for outright not deserving it.

i should have made my own template..... would have had a better chance...
when will the talks about staff end? it's done now, saying x deserved it and y didnt will only increase the talk and eventually create drama
Huh, It's good to know people actually recognize me as a 'helper'. Before something, I do NOT dislike any of the new mods, as for my app, I know, It was short, maybe even badly written (because I couldn't use my computer ) So I had to use my phone, aside from that Im only immature when "my help" is not really needed on to something, aswell I only dislike how people treat me since I am not any authority.
-Angrod
I wanna know if my app was good or bad please

Which one of the apps on the front page were they most like. The good one was a 7 on a scale of 1-10. First one was a .7 on a scale of 1-10. Rate based on that, I only considered 5+.
@ ppl who said they made it on their handheld devices so they were disadvantaged:
I made this on my old ipod on its notes pages
Position*: Forum mod
In-game Name: antisickness
In-game Level**: 200
Age***: 16
How active I am in-game and on the forums: Forums: 6+ hrs per day ingame: 3-5 hours per day
Why should I be chosen over other players for this position****:
I have been a member of bc for a considerable amount of time (6 or so months) and I don't plan on leaving anytime soon. During this time, I have achieved alot. This includes helping users, gaining trust, meeting people and much more.
I am a suitable candidate because I am a person who can switch from a relaxed and laid back person, to a more serious and objective person. Some people let emotion get the better of them. I don't. In my eyes, everyone should be equally treated when deserved to be. Noone gets the bias vote from me.
In addition, I have shown that I am a frequent user here at bc forums (and bc in general). This keeps me up to date and it allows me to highlight the common troublemakers so I can keep a watch over them.
Also, I have alot of time on my hands. Not as much as before, but for what I have, I spend a good lot here. Sometimes I won't be sitting at my computer at home but this won't deter me from doing my job and i'll most likely use my iPhone to overlook the forums.
This is something I do alot so I figured that the forums is more where I belonged.
As I said previously, grammar and punctuation shouldn't be a problem (most of the time) because I am situated in an english speaking country, Britain. The only time you'll catch me spelling something wrong or punctuating badly, is when it is a typo or such.
I have have moderated a game before but I won't go into detail.
I promise I will never abuse my powers, else I will accept a demotion: I do
I have previously broken a rule, but have been unbanned: Minor rules broken, however, nothing to write home about.
if u load that up on an ipod or something youll see it was long as fuq
this got me the fm position, so its not an excuse ::)
