Because it's epic. e_e
It's just the best map. Not to small nor big, Nothing to interfer with the map, Majority of the time you have to kill the other person, etc.
It's so repetitive though... there's only a few paths to run (two if you're not a surge), and the whole gameplay is based on these paths...
Take neo-data cross. There's a lot of potential for variation on it. You can cross down the two sides and down the middle. The map can be divided into three sections - front, middle, back - and all these sections can be accessed in a number of ways.
On flop, you end up running circles, going in and out of trans... the whole match is just a huge cycle...

I know I said it's epic, which it is. But that doesn't mean it's my favorite. ;) (and I was joking around in my first post)

If you were ever to PvP someone of some decent skill or if you were of any decent skill yourself, I'm pretty sure it'd be more than that...
Flop is a map of excellent size, with just the amount of obstacles to make PvP matches interesting for skilled players, while also making it possible to fight on a map without being pushed, yet the ability to push exists.

Adding to Allie's post, Flop also has the best environmental variety, so its not just one level or field. Although imo it could be a bit bigger for more players but other then that its awesome.
flop also prevents poeple from glitching and going into some secret hiding spot like in neo data cross although i haven't seen anyone glitching since i restarted BC heard it was cause glitching gets you banned T_T i wanted to do the uppercut glitch on the old level 95/98 and didn't cause someone told me if you glitch you get banned
lol rams can easily abuse flop, cherynobl trans + TG maxed out, fly over to the end of the box for flop, then wait, and untrans. Ur then untouchable.
+
Getting on the sign isn't a glitch, why do people say it is. >_>. It's just a place of advantage. But not really.
not untouchable uppercut patch skill me=patch >:) i dare a ram to go on top of the sign you will iether fall or die
lol that is funny
me not knowing this stuff is obviously evidence that i suk at pvp and don't bother with it but I do like flop except for when i die in it or lose in it lol
i think everyone likes everything as long as they don't have a bad experience on it :P
lol like how i hate core dump because it is f***ing annoying when you hit that stupid ice hockey block
i hate those maps.... they were the worst invention ever having maps like that the trains i don't mind but those stupid pucks are a pain to deal with i use them when i'm in those maps but i would prefer if they were taking out >:|
i would use them and just before i'd get to those black ledges i get hit what the f**k

Skill cant be measured by jus one map... the so called "skill" is your ability to win. Taking that into account, flop is an excellent map for measuring your ability to win in basic combat.
A different map like power gen, for example, would make you adjust your gameplay. You have to realize your surroundings - the train - and use it to your advantage. Dodging the train and luring people in front of it is only the least of it. Thus, the map measures skill on a whole different plane. You guys are only looking at "skill" in terms of basic combat... and by only using flop, a HUGE aspect of the game is lost ;\

This is exactly my point... people have honed their "skill" in flop so much, that their "skill" on other maps are incomparable.
Learning to use the puck and the train would improve everyones pvp skill.

You're a douche. Go molest some small child around your age.
That's the most pathetic fucking attempt at a flame. Why don't you acknowledge the fact that you're a little attention seeking fag-hole with the sole intention of putting your 1mm dick in every thread?
Just fuck off and save yourself the embarrassment and off yourself before you make yourself look even stupider, you egotistical cumshot. I'm not the only one who hates your spam.
everyone has to deal with ***s eh tricky
I deal with most of them.
mmic calls me an immigrate ffs
c:
mmic is funny, like I'm gonna flame him :O
flop is just a nice map with little to no distractions in it so the only things you can rely on is
awareness
level
armor
coin items -.-
reflexes
other than that there is no difference between wether you use uppercut or rush like in maps like holo if you have uppercut and breakfall your chances of winning are much higher than someone without breakfall uppercut :/ makes a small difference but not significant i think.
skills count i guess
Guard Crush is better in flops then all other maps except GC & transistor, matches upper in holo.

gc is pretty good in holo... the gc + 3hit combo is a great pusher. ;\

skills count i guess
I count skill as the ability to
read your opponent and make them chase you of back off from you giving you the advantage if you can stay in the top position the whole match your a skilled player in my eyes ;p by top position i mean the game flows at your pace if you want a quick match you just pulverize the other players while running around if you want a slow match you make those players come after you in which case you knock them down and move away or don't let them catch you and hit them with a surprise jump towards them.

;o 1 hugeass sentence...took me a while to get, but what you just described is the typical flop match.

its not that i just hate that map only i can use the stupid puck but it usually seems to bite my ass before i get to the safety of those black ledges but i like the map dark sector its huge and there is nothing there except a floor nothing to push off of nothing to fall off of hard to get the items when they appear that map guarantees that someone plays with pure skill because there is nothing to use against them its actually really fun and kind of wierd when you start rushing in the black empty space lol

nope but thanks anyways ^^
Why not <o <
I think it's plain as hell >_>, but then again, I'm not a PvPer. I also think maps with really crazy aspects, such as trains :P, are more fun to play on.
