It's faster to suicide rather than waiting for some ram to take a very long time and most likely end up dying.
Depends on who is playing the Ram, how far in they are, and who is playing the Patch. Most TD patches nowadays just end up upper spamming and getting hit down 100x, which is slower than a TA Ram. ::)
