I know it doesn't really matter, since I no longer play, but even though I would consider myself a PvPer, Base was by far my favourite game mode.

Not even going to lie i just based with corr and some others. it was so fun, think of it like search and destroy in cod. Takes thinking to know  when to attack and everything. I really liked it and if it was upgraded it would be so fun to play. Its fun now but a little more updates and so many will play. let guys like corr and pig that know how to base make the base community good and stuff, Because they know so much about it.
corr is stupid

I really think coins should be incorporated or some other kind of reward (gold bars? mid- rare item that spawns from the base?))

The longer the base match/the better your stats (MK's/PK's) the more chance you have of getting a better rare.

What stops 2 people farming bases for items, or waiting hours afk in the room just to get good items?

1. 1v1's won't give you anything (Only 4v4's, maybe 3v3 to some extent).
2. Anybody that d/c's from the room they will lose their chances of getting an item.
3. In 1v1, your stats (5 mks, 5 pks) is the max which by no means is enough to get you an item in the first place (something like 8 or 9 pk's and 15+ mk's would do).

ZeaL - Rank 1 Hax, just because
I do it for the lulz.

antisickness

make a base tutorial stage(s) - you vs mobs earning little experience but getting the feel for the game
make base only drops like a collection of gun/trans/other skins (YES CSGO)
advertise it in the fking game
leveling system
achievements

Idk. making base appealing upfront will cause people to try it and maybe like it

Well, this past week Corr has gotten me to start playing base with him and a few others. I've always disliked base, for really no reasons other than "I'm not good at it" or "It takes too long".

The first day we played, he taught me the basics. Such as merc pushing, how to be relentless when playing, how to lure mercs to get to the opponents side of the spawn, spacing, where to use trans and how to use it effectively.

When that game was over, I looked at the score screen to see how I did. Well it wasn't that good at all actually. It takes time though, to put the advice Corr gave me, and what I already know to get better at it. It's actually not that long to start getting the hang of it.

On the second training day Corr got me hooked. We had a 1v1 that day for practice then a 4v4 game if I can remember correctly. We did about a total of four 1v1's and maybe three or four 4v4's, in my week of "Base Boot camp".

Each game we played, I felt like I was getting better, and I was too. I could sense I was helping more, even if it didn't show on the score screen or it did. Yes, sometimes there's that move that can make you be like "How the hell did he do that" and make you get a little mad. But you now know what to look out for and try to stop it from happening again.

I always thought that I would hate base and would never play it, but I never gave it my full 100% dedication to it, to see if I like it or not and then judge it on my own opinion. Now that I can actually do something in base, I can give my honest opinion on it, and I love base.

I just checked with Corr, he said if you're willing to try, ask him.

Thanks for reading  :)
