Don't come trolling in this thread, keep it clean.
Very bland. Maybe if the visor on the head was red and a few more color changes/touch ups happened. But idk i love the patch rt3 set atm.
is cool my vote is yes
If you made the white a little stronger, and give it a slight glow, will look good :D
(can send to me via skype, I can do it if you want :P )

This would improve it, and a red visor. Then you got my vote :)

Needs a little touchup, kind of messy but love the color scheme.

I think the screenshots make it look a lil messy but in game this set is absolutely outstanding.

Its the screenshot; the texture is as tidy as you can get it on photoshop. Its not as simple as "making it a different colour". You're welcome to try make it tidy.

If you guys want a screenshot with a certain item, just let me know I have all of them. ::)
I don't really like it. To me mete did great job on all raid armours by matching and colouring them. Don't think that it needs a change.
I think it looked better before

Weell to be quite frank from what I see you made the whole thing black, recolored some parts to red and some to white and added a few glow (brush?) effects here and there.
Aside from the GFX standpoint I'd say it kills off the concept for the RT3 sets. They were each given a specific color (red, purple, green) for a reason. Having it black would make no sense whatsoever.
That's my take on it, you can give it out to people that want to use it, idc.

I changed the colour on request of someone. I saw that the initial one was just de-saturated, so I offered to make this version. And you're correct: I de-saturated it. Also played with contrasts to emphasize edges/vertices, added glow-points to whites, then red to the Reds. And for all it's worth, I do think it's still not as simple as "making it a different colour". Have to plan where you do it, layer the colours, set up the layer types, understand how the texture actually wraps around the model, etc.
.The intention wasn't to re-make the design, but to give it a new lick of paint. I do not believe my method is something that impacted the tidiness to the point of a negative judgement - You can see in the raw that it isn't actually blurry like in the screenshot. :)
I make models for a living, and sometimes all our textures need is a simple air brushing. However, to be blunt but honest, even if green had a meaning, it didn't have the essence or the strong vibe the Ram set had. For example the Ram set brought out a unique perspective/dimension. Also, Feeling somewhat 'royal' and quite frankly different to almost anything else BC has, elements such as the maroon (red) and gold complement each other nicely. The shape is clearly highlighted and it really feels like a piece of intricate armour. Very much detailed and showcase-like. I particularly enjoyed how it was almost 'gilded' with gold. The patch set on the other hand was at most three shades of green (or green + cyan). It felt like someone painted it green, then chose some parts to work as a highlight colour. It felt as if it had the depth for detail was not the primary focus, unlike what the ram set presented. Nonetheless,I am confident this would be largely due to the lack of contrast (between Green + cyan) when compared to Red and Gold. I fiddled with the contrast on the raw too, it actually looks nicer with it. Even with the green scheme. Anyways, these are personal opinions on the Patch set.
As for the reason, well I might have missed the memo, but I don't see the connection . Maybe if it were Red,Green,Blue, (RGB), then sure. But its specified as purple by you, so idk.
But its alright, like I said earlier: this was made on request of someone and isn't my idea or original design.
Re-posting the raws as reference for this post.

Edit: [This part is a little out there, don't take this too seriously]
I'm more than happy also to give the black justification: The patch, by Bots lore, were originally designed for purposes including 'heavy construction'. However, as they've been refitted as 'combat machinery' they became the tankier of the three classes, namely with their buff in TD. If you went for purpose-built armour, then having it black would in fact be ideal as the damage they'd receive would technically be more than any of the other two bot types. And much like how scratches are less noticeable on black vehicles than any other colour, it could be a means of 'looks for intimidation' in battle Also, whats more intimidating for the viruses, a green blob running at them or a black blob with red eyes, scanning at an infrared frequency (I know IR isn't red-red, not to our eyes anyways; but bare with me). Imagine knowing that there'd be no place to hide because the new Patch set (As the highest possible tier) became a menacing hulk-esque machine who could sense you out of your place of hiding. Imagine seeing a front line of 20 Patches wearing this skinned armour, ready to confront you in the sector. I don't know even, if I were Melissa or the final boss in Hacken, I'd be pretty daunted. Ultimately, the the patch is more of a meat-shield which relies on it's armour for the heaps of damage, than when compared to a quick killer like the surge or a technically orientated bot like the Ram . So having it 'black' serves as a dual purpose! The Ram's armour works stupendously because of the way you'd imagine they would fight. Being almost an intermediate class, the ram can be portrayed almost like the "Knight in the battle field", which was why largely I felt the scheme worked amazingly for the Ram. Maroon representing nobility and honour, where the gold represents vigilance and an infinite pride/willingness to fight for what's right. The patches Black/Red would represent both the intimidation factor but also it's strength in the battle filed, it's valor upon it's fights and it's kind-hearted nature when it comes to helping others.
nice post i enjoyed reading it ^
