Yeah we don't own the name, but if we change the name to something original would we have credit for it?

No you can take anyones name, however you will be known as a douche for stealing someones name it's not against the rules to do so.
Even with this being metioned ^^^^^^^ multiple times in reports I still got banned for it which I still don't understand but I am fine with it.
