If anything as op as  +8 ever came in it would completely break the game in terms of economical classes. Also a scheme like that for +8 would be ugly. jussayin

+7 already gives you relatively the same secondary stat boost as the next armor at +5.

Since +7 doesn't drop that means only the rich would be able to combine enough +6 to create enough +7 to fuse one +8 piece. I would imagine that would also make t3 less desirable and kill off the minute amount of plays survival mode gets.
