Title: HP/Trans Gauge Bar
Post by: kev453 on December 31, 2013, 12:04:44 PM
Here's my first "draft". I tested it in game but certain areas were cut off which I don't know how to fix, the bar seems to have specifically assigned dimensions.

I'll also be looking towards changing the Life and Trans dynamic bars.
(click to show/hide)

(click to show/hide)

UPDATE 1:
-Added text (subject to be improved on)
-Added gray background to the HP area
-Replaced three white lines on the left with more suiting visuals
-Added markers indicating 25%, 50% and 75% HP which will be displayed on top of your current HP
-Added a small blue bar on the right for aesthetic purposes

(click to show/hide)

(click to show/hide)
(click to show/hide)
(click to show/hide)

Still haven't found a fix for the dimensional issue. Would really appreciate it if anyone could tell me :)

UPDATE 2:
- Added inner white lining to the HP section
- Increased the size of the lone blue part on the right
- Increased text size of "TRANS"
- Added dynamic trans gauge with flashing effect when full

UPDATE 3:
- Made a few minor adjustments to the bar
- Fixed dimensional crop thanks to mikenny (FINALLY)
- Included download link due to high demand

(click to show/hide)

(click to show/hide)

UPDATE 4 (final update for a while):
- Added brushed metal texture to top section
- Updated "life" files to adjust to above change
- New Download link as of thread modified date.

Download link: https://www.mediafire.com/folder/zpc9aihjvrytc/TGA%20files (https://www.mediafire.com/folder/zpc9aihjvrytc/TGA%20files)

To those who don't know how to install the files into the client:
1. Download and save the files attached in the link.
2. Go to C:/Zylon Gaming/Boutcheetah/data/ui/gameui.
3. Find the following 6 files and save backup copies of each:
ui_play_int_back.tga
ui_play_int_life.tga
ui_play_int_life2.tga
ui_play_int_life3.tga
ui_play_int_tg_trans.tga
ui_play_int_tg_trans1.tga
4. Drag and drop the files you downloaded into the folder and replace the existing ones. (Only do this once you've made the backup copies).
- Note that the files you backup have identical names to the files you've downloaded.
5. Log on and enjoy!

If anyone finds major bugs or graphical errors with the mod please PM me or post them here with a screenshot (if possible) and description of the error.

Yeah I noticed that, it should look better when the fixed dimensions get removed otherwise I'll remove it altogether.

you can't fix the dimension thing u would need the source for that and make it accept your form of object what you could do is make it smaller and make the borders transparrent until you reach the original size but it would look stupid because it is smaller.

i don't like the second one too much on there, it just doesn't fit BC as it is.
idk i'd leave it alone i think

Making the file transparent triggers the dimensional crop, if that's what you were suggesting.

Well I dunno what any of that means but I know how to remove the white and only the white. If you want I can do it and send you the file without the white.

Haha I can remove the white in the file, just not in-game without it being cropped.

once again, to both of you, the white in this case is not possible to remove.
It is added by the client to stop people from manipulating dimensions.
You cannot remove this white even if the image is transparent. The white in the image is gone, the client simply cannot handle such an image.

sorry but with some files u can make it transparent (see my prev post, like 2 up), but in some cases the game makes it white or black :)

Although I'd still like to see how you're getting results with a smaller version mikenny.

how do you mean? smaller? if it were smaller than yours the lifebar(the fill in bar)  would exceed the form of the borderbar(idk what to call it) it probably looks smaller cuz its windowed and full resolution of the game and my laptopmonitor.

could you PM me the pic's that fill in your bars? so i could make the full result.

The vid is being uploaded now, the end is long cuz i forgot hypercam still was on and didn't know how to turn it off :p

Alright cool I'll probably stick with that then, going overseas tomorrow so I won't be able to work more on it for a week.
The only issue now is the roughness of the B-area in game but using vectors and smoothing didn't make it any better.

Allie can put up with it..right?

It's the file type that Photoshop saves it's photos in. Like png, jpg but photoshop saves them in .psd

Actually psd = photoshop document
It's not an image it's all layers in the psd saved and memorized for next time you open it. Where a normal image would onky save the final uneditable result a psd allows you to edit it at anytime.
