Title: Port to linux
Post by: Zack66775 on September 18, 2011, 12:20:24 AM
Like the title says. It can be adapted for Mac but it seriously can't be done for Linux? Many people are switching over and I think it would be a good idea.

................. Can an admin please say something? Will this game ever be ported to Mac or Linux? I think it would look good on the company and wouldn't turn away as many people.

Hello, our game client does indeed work with linux / mac.  You will need either crossover, or WINE.

Yes. I have used WINE to work with my Ubuntu OS. What I'm saying is that unless you actually do it yourself so we don't have to go through a third party software then it will never work WELL. When I use WINE, literally every time I click a button, it takes at least a second for the sound to register and everything I do in game is very slow and or laggy. Sorry but its just not as effective.

Suprisingly enough they do not have the source to a game they did not make, thus they can not rebuild the client to work straight forward with linux, mac, or ubuntu, because nlog never even started on that.
