Too much shit with pirated copies.

Keeps going ungenuine after awhile. My windows 7 just happened to lose genuine the precise moment my XP blue screened. I never was able to fix my XP so i said **** it and re-installed windows 7.
A few hours later that windows 7 goes ungenuine too.
so **** it.
I have my windows 7 ultimate x86/x64 OS installation CD under my bed. I'm fine with my purchased copy of windows 7 premium. I iso'd it so I never have to worry about it again.

Yep.
You can tick it off, but it has a tricky name.
Google around.

One of the updates makes you download a tool, called WINDOWS GENUINE ACTIVATION

You shouldn't install that, instead block it/hide it.

That was your problem.

No, it wasn't lol.
I basically removed automatic updates from my copy altogether.
I never enabled it. Ever.

And on an old computer, I installed it immediately and it still didn't ungenuine for several weeks.
Windows 7 just has stupid internal checks that tend to find it at random points, it's not always automatic updates.
It really pisses me off.
I was able to go 3 months on my old Windows 7 ultimate before it happened.
