It was suggested over 20 times before, and I am serious.
The reason why its never been approved is because we can't simply add deathmatch.
The BOUT client we're currently using doesn't have deathmatch so the only way we could try and add deathmatch is by using the T-Bot client.
However if we use that client we won't have Base, only 4 slots in sector, no flags, etc.
And this isn't going to happen.

You're close.
We got deathmatch working, yes.
How? We used the bout.dat which has deathmatch supported -- we originally used the bots.dat as that's what Tok and Auron started off.
We modified the bout.dat to support everything we did here, and deathmatch worked.
But we couldn't get connections working.
So it was either everyone works P2S2P(Relay) and we have deathmatch, or we maintain our P2P without it.

^ Why not test it out for a period of time and scrap it if it doesn't work out?

Why only lag in deathmatch?
The whole game lags.

If you're a lagger of course.

...."So it was either everyone works P2S2P(Relay) and we have deathmatch, or we maintain our P2P without it."
it would have to be players connecting through a relay server. Instead of just connecting to each other.
Allie, cant you make it so that its only relay in deathmatch, but still p2p on other modes?

Cause it'll be P2S2P entirely.
The lag it'll cause isn't worth deathmatch.

No, we can't make it just that in deathmatch because we'd be using the bout.dat from BOUT for the entire game, not just for deathmatch.
