Here's what I'll tell you. The first thing is that I use a Nintendo 64 controller to play. USB controllers are a huge benefit over keyboard (64 directions vs. 8 directions). You also have to be patient. You're trying to compare me to you. Don't. I have more experience, knowledge, and more execution skill. You need to gradually build up your skill by doing easy speed runs and tying the world record (ie In the Deep Freeze). Don't try for harder stars until you have the basics.
