The reason it's so big is because.. it's big, it's 35xx X 36xx pixels.. so yeah.
Anyway, I finished it, resized it, and found out I don't like it that much... it doesn't even look like there was so much time spent on it.
I'll use it anyway, although I'm pretty sure I won't even get 3rd place lol.

Must be a typo on Windows' part. Typography is usually more of a Illustrator based art from my experience. I asked my Photography teacher why I couldn't do my typographic portraits in Photoshop. She said it was way too hard and time-consuming.

Oh hell no. It's from a tutorial I found a while back which is pretty freaking awesome. You ought to try it sometime. Seems pretty easy to follow. The process time might be long but it is definitely worth it.

my largest .psd is 149MB because it has fallback layers that are in the megapixels

A close friend's brother has had images in the 5GB psd range. He has won first (or second, not 100% sure) in a national competition for commercial arts.
