Especially for the people who made the image for the Boutcheetah updater, can you give me a list of programs you use when you GFX? I'm really into GFXing and I'd like to know the really professional tools you use.
Thanks!
Photoshop CS4.
Photoshop.
There was a contest for the launcher, and Allie gave us the exact size for the images that make the launcher (top, bottom, middle, buttons, etc.).
Gimp 2

This. I've used both, and I have to agree PS wins in the long run. Gimp's still great and user-friendly but yeah.. won't make nicer than PS will
I've tried using ps. Buts it's so damn complicated I ran crying back to gimp :'( :'(

I agree and disagree. I've also used both. However, I've ran into so much crap that gimp is 20000x better with or photoshop cannot do whilst working with photoshop. As a result, I use both. I can save a psd in photoshop and gimp will be able to read it. I also make stuff in gimp and export into photoshop, vice versa. It'll make life easier for you to do both.
photoshop is awesome when it comes to smudging when you are a newbie

Direct quote from Allie somewhere:
QuoteI only like photoshop cause it's better at smudging.
PS. Definitely. Not sure if it helped that much but I also used a graphics tablet. More agile than a mouse.
I don't see why people think photoshop is hard to use. It's one of the easiest things I picked up and trust me, I don't pick things up easily. Just know your tools and know some keyboard shortcuts. It's probably the tutorials. I can't follow some them :|
Gimp has requires many windows open and one of the things tht really pissed me off is the scaling tool or whatever.
In the end it's really just what you're used to. If you use one, you stick with it :-\
lol gimp pwns.....................imma start makeing sigs agian (havent done it in 2 years LOL) in gimp to show you the epicness
How do I open Gimp??
There's no .exe file after I install :(
When we talk about the most advanced GXing tool, the Microsoft Paint tops all.
