I know it seems like a crappy gimmick, but it actually changes how you play the game quite a bit. Maybe this will change your opinion:

I already play LoL and I would HATE Dota 2. I know I would rage with the creep denying in the game.

I find it fun. If you like games like League of Legends, then you'll probably enjoy it. Although if you've never played a moba game before I don't know if you should start with Smite.

smite isn't that hard to start off with but it does help if you've played other mobas
