After 4 hours of looking for a tutorial that works for me, I came up with this.

i think the lighting should have been on the top left corner.

I agree. But other than that it's good. Just try add in some C4D effects next time ;).

yea i forgot to say that lol, it's a cool sig.

@ kletz: c4d effects would ruin the sig imo.

He can put c4d at the hole so it looks like it shooting something out. -_-

I was thinking of using a C4D with the flow around the body to enhance the lighting.

Or he could do it on the gun so it can look like its charging up.

sig is cool, but lighting ruined it
everything should be lighter than left side but darker than right side, half way between those.
then have a radial gradient coming from the cannon and possibly blur it
then change the color of the text, possibly use a clipping mask on the render for it
could add splatter brushes aswell but that would be optional
