Title: installing windows 7 halp
Post by: Iridion on September 24, 2012, 03:46:52 PM
hello i've downloaded this windows seven professional free cus i have a student account over some site

i've got 2 partitions atm: one with the actual os (vista) and most of my stuff and one with a few games and stuff i wanted to backup. now  the file i downloaded is an iso. i thought, i mount the iso with daemon tools, choose to install in the first partition so i get rid of vista+useless junk and keep the second partition with games and backup. is that right? do i need to put the iso on an actual cd? cus when i installed vista i had a real cd and i used it during the installation so ya do i need a real cd?

Yah. Also the old windows files from that partition will be saved to a backup folder so if you forgot to save something you can still find it there.
