Title: Norton keeps deleting files
Post by: Xala on September 28, 2012, 01:03:00 PM
My Norton keeps detecting a trojan in the bout.dat file and then deleting the said file which means I can't come on unfortunately.

Is there anyway to get around this without me having to uninstall Norton..?

Add bout.dat to Norton's exceptionslist.

Get a new anti virus, until then turn off norton

if you really wanna keep norton

1.Open norton

2.Settings

3.Computer settings

4. Antivirus and sonar settings, there you will find how do add exceptions

Look in the tips and guides section. You will see a guide for a situation like this. Just follow the instructions.

I have the same problem. I've had it added to the exceptionlist, yet it's not working. .-.
