I plug in my usb headset, but the mic doesn't work. I look through youtube but nothing works.
Are you sure it's not the mic or the usb port?
~Johnny
It says its plugged in, the light on the headset is on, but it doesn't work.
You could have a broken mic, Have you gone in a Call of Duty game, or a game where it shows that your headset is plugged in and recognized?

I don't think its broken, I mean I got it new when a tenant moved out. He is pretty careful with these things and I'm not sure because I don't play call of duty, I want to play 2k12 with a friend of mine, I never used mic on ps3 before.
If it says it's plugged in, could be a wiring issue with the headset that's allowing the headset to work but the mic wires got played with and or snapped.
You should try and check the mic settings or find some settings on the PS3 console itself and see if that can help you out.

Connect it to your computer and check if anything is muted
Its probably bluetooth broskies
Go to your settings and go to accesory settings and manage bluetooth devices. After that, it will have an option to register the device, make sure your mic is charged... if it is, press register and it will search for a mic in the area... hold the mics (USUALLY BIGGEST BUTTON) power button or whatever until it finds it. If it asks for a code and you dont remember setting one, its usually 0000.
I think that it doesn't work now. The light on the mic is on but its not working -_-
@ Dank, its not bluetooth, its USB.
I had a matcatz one that had a usb thingy.
Just plug it in and do it nuc.
usb headsets only output other player's voices , if it's a turtle beach it can output ingame sound
So why does it have a mic on it? and it doesn't even output in-game sound.
they can input sound
but you can't hear ingame sound from them
Did you turn the mic on?
I think you have to go to settings and audio w/e I don't remember all of it
There's a place where you have to turn the mic on I think.

On the PX21 there is a box thing that controls all the volumes. On the side there should be a switch that makes some button light up green which indicates if your mic is on mute or not. Make sure it is switched to the side that makes the mic not on mute
Oh lawd. Adamp helped me, I know how to make them work now.
Could you tell me what you did :/
