is russia a dark, scary and dangerous place? i've been watching car crash videos (entertaining if you ask me) and noticed the drivers have to use dashcams to avoid corrupt police/scammers. i've also heard criminality in russia is 346563464563463456 high and you can't walk alone in the streets at later hours, and most parts of russia are either extremely poor/dangerous. is it tru my beloved vodka drinker?

It depends where you are in Russia
America has a higher criminality rate than russia, though russia has a way higher criminality rate than europe.
And as TobaccoLover said it also depends where you live.
Of course there are poorer place as every country has, however if you once visit moscow you'll see that there are places looking way better than the best of italy :)
But well, I don't remember that well, I've moved to germany at the age of 5.
