x.x if i listen to emo music or look at memorable picture or moment i get really sad a and wish the girl was still there xD :-\

They can have a massive influence, but from personal experience, I'd have to say they don't dictate feelings.
And it all depends on the person's preference towards genre.
For instance, rap music makes me want to party.
Love songs make me feel lonely.
Religious music makes me ponderous.
Emo music gives me a headache.
I'm sure all of you react differently to these genres.

Yeah why does love songs make u feel loney x.x
Shouldnt it make u feel happy or summething
nah cause most love songs are about the girl or guy leaving them but still classify as love song (confuses me that it is a love song after they get dumped)
for me my fav music is the anthem style of music you know songs that you can't help but like and are like really good and like have to sing along it has that effect on me

Music affects my mood a lot, so if you give me a "hell upbeat song" like that, I'll go happy even during my emo periods.
