its like holodeck only like 5x as big and with a base at each end

would that be a cool idea?

maybe the area right around the base could be all non-glass otherwise it would be too easy to push attackers off and people would just break the glass by the base on purpose

i dont think so
due to base having much more action than pvp there wouldnt be enuff space for playing (pushing holes are good but not too many of them) IMO

or maybe they can make it so the glass is much harder to break then in holodeck

even if glass was harder to break all the action in bvb would break it very fast

if the map was partly non-glass it would be ok i guess but base has higher priorities than holo map

well there has to be a big part of the map that isn't glass so mobs can walk from base to base even if all glass is broken.
or glass has to respawn every xx seconds

Yes, base needs a new map. However, Holodeck is NOT the answer. The best level would be level 70 from bots with possible adjustments.
