If you look at my friends list, there is a really bright yellow name (it says Charizard). He is offline.
Is that a bug?

I'd say so yes, it happened too me also but with a lobby player it was brown. However, he was offline.
I don't think it's something you should worry about..
ya ive seen people with brown names too
