the regular chat function for Bots acclaim not work? yet i see others chating! my friend is right in front of me and i cant even tell him its me!

In the lobby, simply type to write a message, and hit enter to send.
In the room, do the same as lobby.
If you're in-game, hit the enter key for the text box to show up, then type your message; hit enter again to send.
