Rating User.
Why not make a Rating User System?
It would look like this, but than you would have the stars underneath your name.
Maybe the amount of topics you made should be adjusted because people seriously post alot in here.

+1, sounds good to me. But if anything it'd have to be gm approved before going onto the rep, with an attached reason why you rep them. Would be unfair for someone to get spammed negativity for no reason then make them look bad, or spam themselves with good reasons on an alt to look good.

Yes, as if you are going to spam 500topics it wouldn't be approved to have the 'God Star' bellow your name.
They should be approved by Staff.

It would be really hard to get that much legit topics/answers w/o going spamming in usefull threads.
The amount of topics would be increased because there are 300 000+ registrated member in BC.
God member would be like 5000 topics probly even more.
suggested before, the reason it's not implented is to avoid spamming to reach higher rankings.

As I said; This will be controlled.
People will not be able to spam as much as they can to get the 'God' Star.
The Staff team will controll this and spamming users to spam for the tittles will be warned, moderated in the future.

A limit on posting (which is not spam) is not good, really not good.
There isn't a limit if you check, there are people with over 10k posts.
Staff could controll the amount of posts so it wouldn't spam so much.

I read this wrong if it's done by posts then -1. I thought you could just rep someone for being helpful or just being a good Samaritan sort of thing.

No, you get 1point everytime you reply on a post or make a thread, you don't get any points by watching a post.

My bad, i meant like you could leave feedback on a post someone has put and then that feedback would then be in a seperate forum section in which a gm or higher approves the feedback and that feedback is then (if accepted) added to the players profile rep. both +/- rep. Then perhaps if it becomes a useful function (can't be abused as staff would have to accept the rep for it to go to a players profile), once you reach a certain POSITIVE reputation you can then redeem additions to your forum account like a personalized special title etc.

Your making it to difficult, it's actually pretty easy.
You just reply on a topic or make a topic and you get points, if you reach a amount of points (say u get 5k points u get the title God member) obv. people will spam than but forum will get more active and staff get a changhe to finelly get back active again because forum is good as death now ::)

Indeed, it would make the forum more active and as I said staff can control the spam.
Some inactive staff would get back active and help the comunnity to improve.
Alot of websites use this method to make their forum active.

lets say 200 ppl in 60 mins as an average
integrating it to a day = 4800
thats only 4k... nowhere near 100k

K you may be right, I didn't know the amount of active people, i said 'say' so.. but anyways by doing this method the amount of active players will increase alot.
Doesn't SMF forums have a pre-built member rating system it just needs to be activated in the admin panel? ::)

Apart from that a rate & respect system is common, but only 1 in so many discussion boards will actually use it and to each their own. Unique systems often generate more user interaction when done well ^^

maybe if this forum had a 'like' feature the rating could be based on amount of likes you get
but to make your rating be only based on 'post count' is just silly

Yes, they just need to activate it.
And Allie, RK is right.
Raid is based from WoW. This Rating system would make the forum way more active as it is now and maybe later when the forum is back active you can just deactivate it because it isn't needed anymore than.
