Title: Satanism (Kelvin)?
Post by: Optimism on February 23, 2011, 01:22:42 PM
http://www.nobeliefs.com/DarkBible/DarkBibleContents.htm (http://www.nobeliefs.com/DarkBible/DarkBibleContents.htm)

Read a few things there and it becomes rather evident why an individual would rebel against that tyrannical monster. Is Lucifer (the bringer of light -- Satan) a hero whose true tale is over-shadowed by the book of the victor (Jehovah)?

Discuss :P.

In truth, I have looked over plenty of different religions. If I had to choose one, that would be it. (Satanism)

Most likely, you will rage over just the name of it. Without looking into it. But if you do happen to read a little about it,

Satanism is about living for oneself. Its about giving a ****-less about everyone else, and doing what you want.

If anything, it is definitely the easiest and most followed religion. (Not at as numbers, but as in people do this every day(live for themselves.)

Kelvin chose satanism on the basis that it appealed to him, not on the basis of logic/reasoning.
Lol.

I don't see why anyone would want to take up a religion for sole purpose of doing what they want. Why not do it w/o taking up the title of a Satanist?

@ Lyric's quote: Following basic Buddhist principles is technically easier since it causes less disruptions than simply living for yourself and not giving a **** about anyone else.

Atheism is technically even easier because:
1. You can say you are viewing reality objectively for the progression of humanity as a cover for not giving a f**k about anyone.
2. There are more atheists than satanists, so more people will accept you whether you care about atheism or not.

So basically you can look like you give a s**t in the eyes of more, while still giving a f**k about less.  ;)

Not giving a **** about anyone? Atheists are generally more likely to help out for the sake of helping someone (rather than doing it simply because they want to secure a spot in heaven) and less likely to use their unwarranted self-righteousness as an excuse for ignoring someone's plight. "OMG A MUSLIM'S RIGHTS ARE BEING INFRINGED? OH WELL, THAT TERRORIST HAD IT COMING!!!1! What? He's a *insert some other religious follower*? OMG YOU CANT DO THAT!!" I could have worded that better but I'm tired and hungry, you should get the gist of it though.

Lol.

David is right. I mostly like Satan because it's cool to me. Not because I actually think some red dude with horns is real...

Satanism is more of my personality type, and if I was to choose one, that is what I would choose. Sorry for the confusion, Tyler!

Atheist humanists > all religion with regard to morality.

Are you ****ing kidding David? You're anti-gay, for **** sakes. Not because you believe it to be wrong, but because someone tells you that it is wrong. Did you not read my damn post regarding intrinsic and extrinsic morality? You base your  morality on a being that does not exist (the Christian Jehova DOES NOT exist). And that my friend, is not giving a ****ing shit about people.
