Uhm. My attempt. .-. Very, very simple. I made the background transparent in GIMP and when I applied the pic to my post it showed up as white, so in response I made the background black. .-. Lemme know what ya think.

Some advice:
When working with something that looks better with a color, put the color on
another layer.
When you're finished, simply remove that layer and the background is transparent.
