Title: Looking for Feedback - Halving the level cap

Allie is thinking of halving the level cap, and wants to know what the community thinks. This might not be added, we just want feedback.

Here's an example.
The current level 200 would have 2.8m EXP. If the level cap was halved, you'd need 2.8m EXP to get to lvl 100.

The max cap would be 100 for a non-member and 115 for a member. (the cap isn't exactly halved, mostly modified)

Along with this also, we would redo the leveling road - the stats you have per level, So that it's not as steep and will be altogether lower.

As a possible bonus, we may halve all armor stats as well. Thoughts?

If it takes same amount of EXP to get to the max level for members/non-members, which I believe you said, I see nothing wrong with this.

Wouldn't this mean you'd have to get rid of armors or decrease the distance at which you are able to obtain it.

I almost agree with this.
It would give a bigger feeling of accomplishment in finally getting to that next level.

not sure I like this idea.. I mean.. why change whats not broken? Of all the things to complain about this game ( and there arent that many) I am sure that the fact there is a large level cap is not one of them. I feel like this is going to just confuse/annoy many players..

That. Restructure the way the levels are arranged. It's not terrible but at the way it is now there are many maps that are just skipped over for their length or for them not being as rewarding as others. For instance. Not many people would play lv 200 considering how much longer it takes to do than 206. Maybe make the longer maps worth more exp?

the hardeest sector maps should be hard because how the level is structured, the placement of the mobs and the mobs are challenging, not  because the level is a small square filled with mobs with extreme hp or because the level is a plus shaped thingy with mobs with extreme hp and damage.

Remove elektra completely.
That's way too many sets for only 115 levels.
We have 15 normal sets, 5 survival sets, a hallo set and a metorium set.
I suggest removing moonlit hawk and elektra sets.
Apart from that I like the idea.

Lv 172 takes 1 min to solo on hard yet some lv 90 lvs takes 5


Also I like since this reduces the gap between higher and lower lvs which is always nice.

That's what I also said but we don't need a new set, we have 22 sets already for 115 lvls ?
Way too much imo.
Just remove the ugly sets and make bladess or bladium the highest again.

Would be awesome to bring back the bots maps. I think the sets are fine as it is. Maybe remove Elektra since all the maxed players are using overload and thus Elektra is useless. And meteor I'll help you make the mods if you want^^

From a business standpoint, I think that would vastly decrease the reason to buy a membership. 

I think it would be great to change the level mapping back to the one from BOTS.  Level 98 was a very fun level and challenging level, unlike the current max level, 239, which is quite trite.

However you should modify the sector maps a bit. 228 Is just too small of a map to be considered "high lv," which is why people can do it so fast. The reason why the BOTS!! 98 was so good, was because it is a big map, and you have a  high potential to fall if you mess up ( jumping on pillers,) increasing the challenge.


What you should do is increase the exp you need to lv up. (2x the amount.)

what would be really great is having a brand new map created by a group of players who know elements that make sector actually challenging + the feedback of the community to make it appreciated by everyone

Not that. The update is merely going to fix the high exp gain. Ross wants on top of that, it requiring 2x more exp per lv. So in a sense 4x more exp needed after the update.  ::)

the old rants o' mine are finally being suggested :']

+1000 for me. I don't think anyone is against having balanced stats, but it will be a huge change if you consider how long this games been up like this and with all the event items like meto and e.f's etc.

Well, I thought most of the people are sick of the OPness of the game, that's a chance to make it less OP, still a lot of people want to keep it the way it is.

And i like it the way it is!
Boutcheetah was focusing on getting better /stronger, and the players likes that, and now we "maybe" gonna lower the lvls to half..
the game isn't that op, because we work for our exp/gp, and they gonna change the way to earn that after guild wipe.

you also know that if this happen the 22 sets should be there.
because the rates off exp is still there, and it would be harder to get 100/115.

everyone's level and eventually stats will be affected so the game is goin to be the same (op) game as before just with lower numbers around.
getting to 110/115 would be as hard as getting to 172/221, people will just level up less often than before.
this added to a revamp of the level list will balance the game and make it more enjoyable imo

those special items you mention is special because it was events over them.

I like it as it is, and we got a BOTS server.. BC is way better, but why change the lvl cap then?

Well if we just halve the level cap then it will open up more possibilities further in the game. Someday level 200 could have a required 100mil exp. By starting lower we can go further.

suggestion 1: old lvl 98 /95 on bots was easy too, we grinded it in 1-3min with 2-3players.
and bc's maps was hard, but what we did wrong was giving out more op items, so the game became easier.
people would rage if we took out the op items.
elektra +2 was good enough (and the highest item).
no walker bro, jack head, etc.. was good, but it's good as it is too, but it's op.
making the lvl map harder like 98 (old map in bots) to lvl 221 and having that as the highest map would be cooler, and 228 could be 215 (for a highest lvl (221) could get half exp of it).
and take out other maps or replace some?

suggestion 2: if the lvl cap gonna be 115, i would suggest it to be like old bc 127.
and try to keep all the sets that are in this game, and then maybe make old 98 to map lvl 150.
then this game would maybe be fun to someone :P
non member can reach lvl 100 and member 127, make the lvl 115 as the exp same as 221? so people can work hard to get their main account to lvl 127?

t3, metorium, elektra +7 can be equiped on lvl 127, member flags at lvl 1/up, omni keeper,discus, ice minibot at lvl 127, II skills at lvl 70?, deathhunter merc at 127, etc etc?

I don't support this for the main reason I don't support the gigas idea, and because it just makes BOTS and Boutcheetah one less step different from each other.

Also, people would receive that little moment of happiness when they see that they've leveled up much less if the level cap was halved.

Again, just my opinion.

Longer to max = people play longer, get bored buy membership to level faster, membership is over buy new to reach max level member, join a good clan, keeps motivated to grind gp.


You know what should be fixed.... That when your are maxed out the game wont become sh*t

Bad idea. When BC came out, the max level for non-member was 100. Max level for member was 115. Your taking a turn back into Acclaim. Not a good idea, Acclaim went bankrupt..

Really i disagree i like this level system its not too slow and its not too fast...

It would not upgrade boutcheetah but downgrade its good as it is now (My opinion)

It's a bit easy, max f2p in 5 days, max member in 2 weeks.

If you want this game to be part of a pro gaming company make lvl a little bit harder so it becomes more of a challenge to level up.
