It's not optional, the SP will be updated into all your games, but you have to remember you can just replace them in the sound folder anyways.

das not really my point but from what ive heard of your SP it doesn't fit the vibe imo.
doesnt matter to me though cuz i havent ever turned on sound or sfx ever since bots died, but thats just my opinion.
Just tested some of these out. And in pvp, the song is too low and can barely hear it (gets played over by sounds) :/

These aren't the in-game versions, they don't even have looping on those versions. >_>
In other words, you tested beta-stage songs out. They work fine, you just don't have the actual files.

well tricky im not an idiot i know how to copy files, im not disapointed because i am going to be unable to listen to the old soundtrack, im disapointed that new players to the game will be (not to sound harsh or anything) 'stuck' with the new soundtrack and I feel it may make them disapointed and they will miss the old BOTS!! soundtrack.
Speaking bluntly, the OST of Bots is boring as hell and most of us play with our music turned off anyway. If they miss it, then they can go reinstall it - I'll make a .rar that's easy for everyone to use. If nostalgia is the only issue here, then that's a pretty weak excuse lulz.
look tricky i dont even care that much about this but this is a forum and i wanted to post my opinion. im not making 'excuses' i play with the sound off and will continue to do so even if the sound pack changes. idk why your being kinda defensive about this, i mean, it sounds like the decision has already been made to impliment your sound pack.

I like alot, i think everyone agrees with me but, whenever im doing something and i listen to music, it kind of boosts my adrenaline.
So people will get less bored with the game with the music being slightly fast pace , good job:)

amg why so much hate on a hugo improvement to my ears. Tricky has a point with boring old Bots soundtrack and people shutting them off... le's just have a change for once. New players would get a sense of unique fell from old BOTS anyway. After all, this is BC and not old outdated bots acclaim.
Isn't BC trying to make something that BOTS didn't have? If they're going to great lengths as to changing the boring music that mostly everyone shuts off to an at least PLEASANT change then why complain?

personally this kind of music is not my favorite genre (i don't use the original either) but i'm sure yz and the other dj who made the new soundtrack put some effort into it and should get better comments than "its gay"

To clear up confusion, the plan for this would be to officialize this sound pack as the default sound pack, but have a new option on the Updater to install the old one. With this option, we can enable custom skins, sound packs, etc that the community make to be released on the updater with the updater itself managing them.
(of course, this would mean all mods on the updater are approved by me/Kenny).

This isn't BOTS!! anyways it's Boutcheetah. If you don't like how Allie is changing everything then go play BOTS!!.
The new sound pack should be the default because it will make people hear it and if they don't like it then they can change it, but if it isn't the default lots of people won't bother changing it to the new one.

Put the option in the launcher so people can choose it from launcher,for those people who dont forum that doesnt like the new sound pack
I thought about it and I have changed my mind I think the change to a new soundpack will be a good idea and bring a new and fresh feel to the game.
