Sony Vegas Pro - Free trial of this is available. Enables basic sound editing as well. (Beginning - Advanced users)
Adobe After Effects - Advanced Video editing capable of rendering 3D models
Audacity - completely free recording and basic editing program
Sony acid pro - advanced audio editing and manipulation
