Title: What site improvements would you like to see?
Post by: Santa on March 18, 2014, 07:55:41 AM
Leave your ideas in a post here, if you have any, and I will let you know if I agree, and will or will not add it.

Also let me know if there is a feature on the site which you do not like, and which ones you would like better if they could be improved with _____.

Thanks,
~Kenneth.

Livechat.

That would be a nice idea, but I'm not sure who would be able to do that full time.  I mean maybe some could do it for a few hours at a time, but it would be no better than having staff member in-game, unless people cannot log in, and need assistance with the client.

It would technically not be 24/7, but it would be WAY easier and MUCH more convenient then having to be in-game and watching the lobby 24/7 when free time is available.

SHould we use livechat as well, i could be at work, my phone would beep, and i could (possibly) help a player instantly.

I'll see what can be done about this.  I was thinking maybe I could just add back the lobby chat feature that used to be on the website, except this time it wouldn't be a java applet most likely.

Discuss with RK and Mechill, I believe they were all behind the livechat idea.

A shoutbox?
I think that is basically integrated in what santa meant by the lobby chat feature.
a shoutbox linked to the in-game lobby.

all items in game content

like jack head, halloween aura 2, etc
so you don't need to go to the market place or zylon shop to look for its stats

they will be all listed and you can search for any item

well I was already working on videos, but if you need more content to replace the front page videos with something more official I am your man  ;D

also with the live chat button, it would just prompt someone to send a staff member a message if no one was currently online. Though the initial trial that we did to use live chat was pretty successful  ;D

Can the marketplace be improved?

(Very big improvements needed, starting with how ugly it looks)

Ability to add something to market as invisible so market isn't full of uses less sheet for 99m and such. And also change the limit to 999m not 99m

allow much better marketplace functionality.

let us select multiple items at once, so moving things isn't such a pain

also make it so when we click to buy an item, a confirmation message comes up

allow us to pick a 'not for sale' option for our items, or as thornz said an 'invisible' option

change the max price to 999m instead of 99m, as thornz said

i think it would be better to have something called bank separately where we can store items, and marketplace where we can sell them , and change max price for 999m

Basically a stash, but bigger..
That could be a nice new feature, it'll have to come with a price though, maybe a monthly cost aswell, for upkeep, like irl.
This would however prevent people from filling up the marketplace with junk they want to keep and not sell (hopefully), and make the marketplace actually a place where serieus trading is the point of it.

Hi, please do not think I am forgetting about this.  It will take some time to get alot of these implemented.  I haven't started yet, but will be checking this everyday until I am able to do so.

Thanks.

like pressing "Contact us", and add some to be support able and staff can answer to, then it would close to be 24/7.

idk just an idea xP

(sorry if it's some grammar thingy.. i am in a hurry )

Web Client- I remember asking about it and it was something I was really looking forward to.

Live Chat/Support chat- If you would like I have already set something up that has what Max was looking for (the app for phones). All you would have to do is insert the Html code into the site or just have a link on the homepage. Message me or reply to this if you're interested.

Ability to change all like items in your market to the same price

Example: I have 80 snowballs, and I wanna just set all my snowballs to 10m each, but I currently have to do that 1 by 1

Perhaps just a tick box option for marketplace, so you can either click "Select All" or click the items you wish to change. Then click either remove to inventory, modify, or whatever else the options are.

I would love to see improvements to the site's marketplace wich i like so much!
If you want suggestions specificly, i have some ideas.
Add a cost limit for "find items" in case there are 100+ pages of items with a cost of 9999999 gigas.
I hate to see the marketplace being a alternative storage for so many people while it was made for trading, wich it does terribly atm.
People are starting to ask for trade in game. Wich is totally acceptable, it just shows that the marketplace isnt fullfilling their needs for trade.
-
So with that in mind i know that inventory space is a valuable resource, so i want you to add a bank on this site for people to hire storage space for ingame currency. That way The marketplace will in time be completely free to trade with. And to erase the needs for the marketplace to be a storage method is to increase the taxes by 15%, but after the trade is accepted and the transfer between accounts is complete the original owner of the item will recieve their money taken by the taxes(15%). But if the item is removed by owner (to inventory) a fee must be payd (not excluding the taxes), or no additional fee.
-----
And to solve another problem (off-topic) make the exp/gigas/coins more appealing in pvp and bvb. (this will ultimately fix around 96% of the pvp/bvb issues). Its as easy as altering some config files. but i know little about codes, tho i know the concept of config files.

Dont flame! Play the game!

This has got to be my pet peeve of the BC website

There are WAY too many forum categories and as a result the not-so-often viewed categories, which may contain something of interest and / or important are neglected.

My solution: Make less forum categories with more topics in them (merge a few categories together) because it feels like the forum is just too spaced out.

When was the last time Boutcheetah has gotten an update on the forums? I can't even remember. Kenny said he will do events every month, but WE all knew that wouldn't last like always. The fact is this game had its better days - it's time to retire.
But I do like how some people hope for the best for this game and for it to continue to grow. Kenny is the problem in this business and if he wasn't here and someone else was, the game would be amazing, but it's hard for Allie to do anything with a person like Kenny.
