k, well, photoshop is winning.
Start off with gimp for about a month, then move on to photoshop as you advance.
GIMP if you like simple things. Photoshop if you have the patients of learning.

both can have the same capabilities. photoshop can go deeper though, with more learning involved. >_>
Photoshop is way better but it's harder to use and takes much time to download and find a crack.But it's worth it. :)

I think my GIMP sigs are better then every PS sig done on this forum :/ (apart from nos)

Wrong, Photoshop has a more detailed interface.
You can't do shit with PS, but you can do "shit" with gimp, literally.
