GFX / Re: Anyone know a good program to make signatures in?

Alright, so.... I downloaded GIMP to do some comparisons and have realized that this program is ridiculously difficult to control. Not saying I did not know how to use most of the features... because I did, they were just allot harder to access. It was also difficult to adjust brush setting and to insert layers and tamper with them.
Smudging in Gimp would be nearly impossible to get an outcome that you may see from some of the best smudgers in tagging, and smudging recently seems to be playing a rather large role.
I also know that PS is so widely used by professionals and is remarkably easy to pirate online. Because this allot of the Pro's and the Knowledgeable/Talented graphic artist make things like Brushes, tutorials and PSD's more well.. accessible and come in a much larger quantity and quality
With all that being said.. GIMP isn't a terrible program. GIMP just seems to be less user friendly and lacks some of the quality adding features that PS gives to it's customers and users.
Of course a GIMP user could make a nice signature depending on what style you use,
Smudging is far out of the question. I think if it was GIMP vs PS, the PS user would win most the times. Of course the GIMP could win once or twice, but the PS has the advantage, plus the resources.
But then again this is all opinion based and to each person their own. No use arguing about it.
I honestly with all my heart would rather you use PS.

GFX / Re: i dont even know - abstract?

Certainly a neat concept, love the overall simplistic look. The text seems to be alright, but I don't like how it overlaps the lines. Maybe if you scootch it over towards the left a bit more.
I also think the large empty blue areas could be given some more detail with a soft round brush at 94% opacity and the brush setting set to scatter, just a little bit of scatter. Or just just straight smudge lines, I see some dark blue and a sort of aqua color in the empty blue spaces, maybe just smudge those a bit to make it more interesting.
The red also seems to be having a bit of trouble blending into the white lines.
Great work.

Never did use GIMP, but I know that a program that is free will never be as good as a highly recommended program as photoshop that you have to pay for(or pirate hehe-haha).
I would skip GIMP and go staight to PS, because I know down the road... you will certainly switch to PS if you ever get serious. I would say cut to the chase TBH.

General Discussion / Re: Is this fair?
January 06, 2013, 10:57:58 PM
Fair = Him moderation = Staff Possition provoked, then when un-moderated = Mod.
I shouldnt be moderated for responding to HIS posts then just let him off the line when he was negative to me, I never went into Cookys post and diliberatly said anything mean. I only ever quoted him.
Thats not right.
So where are my special conditions that grant me privileges to be un-moderated as a reintegration into the community. I should be moderated again if I misbehave then. Where are my special privileges?
Since I can not edit my post nor actually see them till this is accepted, can you merge my previous post with this one?

There were special conditions discussed between me and Allie (that I am not allowed to disclose) that will keep me a temp mod until I show that I deserve it. I wasn't just handed mod, I will have to work for it still.
Also, people who are warned/moderated always lose their status when they get promoted to staff
Most recently GM Zero UH, Mod Ala, and I

Announcements / Re: New Year Staff Additions

Seems a bit unfair that Cooky doesn't have to do his full Moderation sentence and I do.
Anyways grats to everyone, weird choices, but I am sure it will work out.

Not bad text, don't like the render itself (any non-oblivious person would know why), but its placement and blending are good, background ruins the **** out of this sig imo; bad amount of blur and flat out looks bad.
Because she has big breasts?

We need permission to work on someones art work.
Plus that is incredibly difficult to work with.
