Off Topic / Need a new PC
June 22, 2015, 04:37:58 AM
yeah. Looking for something that's got at least the following:
8gb ram
3ghz+ processor
1 TB hard drive (+ maybe an SSD)

I have no idea where to look (newegg, etc. seem expensive as hell) and my budget is ~$1k

The PC will mostly be used for mild video editing, lots of music editing, 24/7 torrenting, etc. and I'm hoping to get something that has good hardware for sound quality, low power consumption, etc.

If it can run XP, that would be a miracle lmao but i'm cool with win 7

ANY suggestions on where I should start? Google brought me nothing.

GFX / Banner Request [FOR ZYLON COINS]
January 03, 2015, 10:35:07 PM
For my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/showeringthoughts

Minimum size needs to be 2560 X 1440 px (bigger works, just keep it at the same ratio)

More info: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2972003?topic=16630&ctx=topic&hl=en-GB

^It needs to look good on all viewable formats (Desktop/TV/Android/iOS/Tablet) ... Sooo take a look at that page thoroughly.

You can also download a template from that link as well to start off.

I have enough Zylon Coins to buy anything in the shop. I'll choose the winner based on what I think looks best, is minimalistic but gets the point across, and can reflect the style of the music/artwork on the channel already (give it a listen if you wanna get a groove of what I'm kinda looking for if it helps).

A winner doesn't necessarily have to be chosen. If I don't like anyone's entry then nobody gets shit (but I'll give some coin items or w.e for effort maybe if I feel it was worth it).

Current banner (not exact size as it's cropped by Facebook but just how it looks):

I'd prefer to have the same text but if you can think of something better, by all means.

There's really no end-date for this request so it doesn't have to be rushed but at the same time it wont be open forever.

If I really really like your design and I use it, you might even get perm Jura.

Also someone needs to clarify to me if its possible to trade ZC to accounts or trade the items after purchase.

I can also give coin/gigas rewards or whatever tickles your fancy. I'm pretty loaded from playing a lot in the past.

Soo yeah, go.

hit chapter 700 this week. Didn't really follow it for a few years until recently and caught up when i found out it was going to end.

Anyone still follow it? anyone care?

Didn't seem like a big thing to me but then i realized that's one of the oldest and most popular mangas, ever. Lasted exactly 15 years, and was a bit of nostalgia seeing that last childhood show finish off as well.

To one of the world's biggest private music torrent sites. All they require you to do is sustain your ratio (download-upload) following this criteria:

Download (up to)    Required Ratio
5 GB    none
» 15 GB    0.15
30 GB    0.25
45 GB    0.30
60 GB    0.35
100 GB    0.40
125 GB    0.45
>125 GB    0.50

If you can keep all your torrents open in uTorrent, have a thing for music, and might be interested, post here as to why you might be and I can PM you an invite key.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

I'm getting this weird popup every few seconds after closing it. Think I uninstalled an important update >_>

Anyone know how to fix it? Tried installing .net framework again but didnt seem to stop it.

QuoteWrite a program to read in a series of integers and print out only the odd numbers over 1000.  At the end the program should also print out how many such numbers were found.

It's a hell of a lot easier than the assembler problem..

i have this so far:

in x
While
  if x>1000 then load y
  SET x=y/2
If x=1 then Add 1 to counter
End While
Print X
Print Counter
Halt

Basically if the numbers going to be odd and I continue to divide by 2, I should get a 1. If that's the case and the numbers over 1000 then it adds 1 to the counter.

How do I get it to say x=x/2 until it reaches 0 or 1?

EDIT: i fixed it. just tell me if its right or not

Off Topic / Some Coding Help

The question:

QuoteWrite an assembly language program to do the following, and run it and test it on the lab simulator:

Read in integers until a zero is read in. Keep a total of both the quantity and the sum of the negative integers and the positive integers. Once a zero is read in (signifying the end of the input) then:

If there were more positive than negative integers, or an equal number, print out a 0 and the sum of the positive integers.

If there were more negative than positive integers, print out a 1 and the sum of the negative integers.

It's in Java, with these commands:

What I've got so far:

Quote.begin
   clear sum
   clear i
   load list
   if i>list then jump
loop:   compare i
   jumpeq i done
   compare list
   if i>0
   add i
   store sum
   increment i
   jump loop
   out sum
done:   halt
i:   .data 0
fifty:   .data 50
list:   .data 4,5,-2,-3,12,0
.end

Off Topic / Laptop Help
December 29, 2013, 05:43:15 PM

So basically when I turn on my laptop, there's a blank screen with a blinking underscore exactly like the one you would find upon opening Command Prompt. It's supposed to blink for a few seconds and lead to the windows startup screen (win 7), but it's stuck there and doesn't allow me to change boot options to safe mode, or anything for that matter. The underscore just keeps blinking.

Anyone know how I can possibly fix this?
