There once was a dwarf named Grum. Grum was a very happy dwarf, though his name did not fit his personality. Grumman had no siblings. He was an only child and lived with his parents in a small cabin up in the North. Grums father, who was king in the North, tried to make him a warrior. Grums father forced him to come to training with the other dwarves. Grum was not exactly strong. He was a dear and very outgoing in relation to its joint dwarfs.
Grums dreams were so big and real to him. His dream was not what his father thought it was. Grumman had dreams about going on adventures, traveling the world and discover amazing things. His greatest dream was to stop the war between dwarves and trolls. Grums father was in the middle of a war with the trolls. Grum was always afraid that there would be something his father. Grums father was the greatest wars in the North. He had a reputation that reached everywhere in the world.
One day in December, when Grumman was off from school, he took a shortcut. He came to a great forest, where he realized he was lost. Forest trees were covered with snow. Grum just thought that he could go back and follow his own footsteps in the snow. Grum hesitated, he was tired of everyday routine: Go to school, come home, eat food and train together with the dwarves. He was tired of it all.
He might as well stay here instead of going home.
He walked farther into the forest to see if there was something special. It was nice to breathe here. There was also something with the trees gave us oxygen, he thought. The feeling of the cold but gentle wind that hit one in the head, gave a happy feeling of winter.
Grumman saw that further down in the woods was a hut with a large smoking chimney. Grumman went to the window and looked in, when he saw a big troll. Troll had a big ax in hand. Grumman removed the cloth from the window and saw that there was a whole midget family trapped inside. Grum was quite scared. The troll looked turned toward the window. Grum hurried quickly to hide. The troll stared stupidly over the wall with window. Dwarf family consisted of three brothers. They were wounded, and one could see that they had been crying.
Troll sat a pot of water to boil, and then went out the door and farther into the forest. Grumman, which was still very scared, looked once more into the window to check if there were more trolls. Grumman opened the door cautiously and took some little mouse steps into the cabin. The three brothers were tied to a pole in the middle of the room. Since then the brothers Grum, they cried out in relief. Grumman took a sharp knife from the kitchen and liberated them. They thanked him and gave him an elixir that would give him incredible strength. Elixir called Thor's blood. Crum thanked and said goodbye to them.
The bell was many, Grumman was trying to find the path that he took from the school of. When he reached the path, was footsteps away! It did. that Grumman had chills, about having to stay overnight in the woods. Worst of all was that a troll lived here in the woods. The magician, who Grum so with his own eyes. Grumman had no choice but to find a place to stay. The snow began to fall. The same with the moon. Everything was darker still as bright. Moon's rays glinted in the snow. The moon was much closer to the ground, it meant that Grumman had sore eyes. Grums hoping to find a place to stay became less and less. Grum got sore legs to walk in the snow.
The night beat on. He had nothing else to do but to sleep outside in the snow. In it he had to lie down, he heard a kind of buzzing among the trees. It was a little unclear to see what it was. Grum got up and checked on what it could be. A large troll with a donkey. The donkey was gray and had a gash in his leg. It seemed as though it was completely dead. Troll had probably beaten it to get it to run somewhat faster. Troll had the same torn shirt, as the magic he saw in the hut. It seemed, however, more sour.
Troll sat on the donkey, and slapped it on the bale to for it to run. Grumman ran after them. They stopped at a village. Grum looked a little closer and discovered that they were a troll village. Grumman had heard of trolls village school. It was a village full of trolls who had caught all kinds of breeds of dwarves, humans, animals, elves, etc.
Grumman saw how many dwarves who had been captured. He saw that the trolls worship a kind of totem pole. It may be their way to their god. Grumman went nearer to the village. They were starting to dance soldansen. He went quickly behind the tents to avoid being seen. The fire flames reached the tents. Although Grumman could see flames behind the tents. A hand grabbed Grums shoulder. Grum turned around and saw that it was an elf who was incarcerated. Elf told that it was captured by the trolls. Grum hastened to open the door, but he discovered that it was locked. Elf pointing to the key over by a full troll. Grum hesitated, but did it anyway. Grumman slipped onto the troll, and let his hand slip down into the troll's pocket. The key was quite warm compared to the weather. It was almost boiling hot. Grum quickly opened the door and grabbed alfens hand. They hurried out of the village.
The elf gave Grumman a kiss. Grum melted down in the snow. The elf gave him also a bell that will ring with a call for all elves. Crum thanked elf with a hug and said goodbye. Alfens wings shone like two bright stars in a night sky.
Grums father had informed everyone in the North, who had seen his son should make calls. Grums father had already stressed the wars against the trolls. He had also been told that the trolls will come from the east. Grums father had already made clear the army and declared war. An army of over one thousand gnomes were going against trolls village.
Grum was hungry, and thought perhaps he should go back to the troll village. Trolls in the village slept, and it made it easier for Grumman to steal some food. Grumman saw that the dining table was covered with food. He did everything he could bear. Grum hurried quickly out of the village. He took a bite of a piece and when he heard the sound of the iron frame iron. It came from trolls village. Grum was almost suffocated in the food. He spat it out and ran into the village.
Grumman saw how his father's army stormed an entire village full of trolls. He looked for his father but instead he was tackled by a troll. Grumman fell with his head down in the snow. He took his elixir forward, and took a sip. He could not feel a difference. It was as if it did not work, so he grabbed a hatchet, which felt like a feather. Troll races at Grumman. Grumman took a step back and kicked the troll right abdomen. Troll fell down on his knees and vomited. Grum giggled and ran on into the village. He saw that his father's army was outnumbered. Grum grabbed the bell, elf gave him. He rang, and one came a swarm of elves go in against him. Grum screamed that his father's army was soon wiped out if we did nothing. Elven knew what to do.
Elf that Grumman had freed from the village, said that all dwarves were hurrying out of the village. Trolls looked strangely at each other and laughing at midgets who ran away. Elven formed a semicircle. They began to dance until it began to thunder inside the half circle. Trolls screamed and ran into the tent, but it did not help. This one lightning could strike anyone and everything that was inside the half circle. The tents began to burn. Trolls to run away, but they could not because of elves semicircle. The whole village was burned up in flames. Half circle was full of smoke from all that burned wood. You could hear the trolls scream. It was not so nice.
Elven removed the semicircle, and cheered when they saw there was no trolls. Grum was glad they won the war, but he could not find his father. A few dwarves went to Grumman, and said it made them worse. Grum was totally confused. He saw a group of dwarves gather around a corpse. Grumman ran screaming there. He cried until it hurt the eyes. His father had been hit by an arrow, causing exsanguination. His father's eyes showed the whites of the eyes. The only Grum could do was give him a decent burial when they came home.
On his return cheered everyone. Everyone who had participated in the war, came home as a hero. At the back came Grumman along with some other dwarfs, who bore his father. Exultation was to mourn. Grums mother ran to him and gave him a big hug. Her tears hit his cheek. She was totally hot. Grumman could not cry anymore. He had run out of fluid.
The funeral was held at the top of Mount Odin. There were flags with a painting of Grums father. Grum felt completely that his father had taken everything with him. He could not understand that death could strike as easily. It was one thing you never to forget. Grums desire was just to see his father again. A sign from his father. A sign which showed that he was proud of him. It was completely silent until the northern lights came. Aurora was so powerful and so magnificent. When it struck Grumman, that it was a sign. A sign from his father. Something that not even death could take from him: the northern lights.
