Some programs (browsers) are (still) whitelisted from this effect, including Firefox. Spotify, however, is not.

Try using the Spotify Web Player with Firefox instead, or a different song.

I've also experienced this issue, but the difference is usually only 1 or 2 seconds.
Game time is processed locally; if the server would report the game time at the end of each match, they'd all be the same.

Try a different browser.
If the problem stops there, clear your main browser's cookies.
