The main thing I dislike in it is how solid the black is.

I also have a black lanny mod ty metthat was made in photoshop using the color replacement tool

cause i have Adobe Photoshop CS4 but it doesnt allows me to open the file
what version of Photoshop did u use?

Use xnview to open it', you can change the data type to png and then open it in photoshop
You can take a look at Iridions modding tutorial for more detailed help.
