that was a half-2-in-the-morning-I-cant-sleep-so-i'm-going-on-BC-forums post

here's your cnc:

using effects on renders = bad idea. It looks lq especially in parts where there's highlights and shadows like his jacket
when you make a b/w sig you only have your grey shades to work with. If you mess it up then it's gonna be a shambles.
The lens flare thing on his chest is really distracting, it really doesn't add to the composition

the smudge is ok. It's at its early stages and I can see it needs a lot of improvement but why did you blur it? don't blur your smudge dude cause it gives me the impression you didn't like it so you're covering it up. smudging is a detailed powerful technique that always hits you on first glance to make you think "yep this is a smudge". more often than not you'll actually be sharpening your smudges

don't try b/w till you can do colour smudge

4/10 I've seen better from you

whats wrong with eating a sock

Eat4two

Didn't foresee it to be that bad.

The bg was blurred 'cause the tag was substantially too intense in b&w form, for my eyes at least (this when I was doing the tag), if that's not the right thing to do I get it and shall learn from my faults. It may be a matter of opinion in some cases, but when I think in retrospect, keeping the bg as it was would most definately give it a better and more sophisticated finish.

I'm awfully unfamiliar working with b&w art, was just creating something spontaneously out of my mind. A bad idea I guess.
Anyhow, I'll take what you said in mind for prospective work.

antisickness

we all learn from mistakes, cnc, trial and error etc but make sure that you do reflect on em.
hopefully you will be able to look back in the future and see where I'm coming from cause I don't reckon I was too harsh

again, gfx is always gonna be subjective so what I see and say won't be 100% true fact set into stone

chin up and kiu pal  :)
