well but this is an 'operating system' right? I would think 'looks' should be one of the least cared about things

I don't hear people ever mention Windows 8's  'looks' or anything like that, they focus on the functionality, which is the whole point of the operating system.

I don't hear people ever mention Windows 8's  'looks' or anything like that, they focus on the functionality, which is the whole point of the operating system.
