Known Issues

Problem 1

Problem: I open the launcher, and press start, and it shows "You are missing files, please run the Updater!"

Solution: Install This and This

Problem 2

Problem: I open the launcher, press the start button, zylonshield splash screen opens, then the client appears, and turns white, then crashes, with a error message.

Solution: You are missing your video card drivers, or you need to install the latest version of direct X

Problem 3

Problem: Windowed mode works perfectly, but when I try full screen, the client crashes.

Solution: Your antivirus is interfering with the game client, so you need to add an exception for the client folder, usually C:\Zylon Gaming\BoutCheetah, or just disable the antivirus.  Avira is the antivirus that causes this, or at least one of them.

Problem 4

Problem: I press start on the updater, the client runs without showing the ZylonShield Splash Screen.

Solution: You need to install this and this

Problem 5

Problem: I open the updater, and a message box saying "T" appears.

Solution: You need to install a new version of internet explorer from here or any other internet explorer version you want, because it's corrupt on your computer.

Norton 360 is another Anti-Virus that you have to disable while running BC, really pisses me off.

About Problem 5, I'm pretty sure you can also solve it by un-checking the "Work Offline" button on the Internet Explorer. Happened to me too.

For those who get this ialmrnt5 error messages : solution;
go to the display properties , go to setting and change the colour quality to 16 bit or medium(for laptops)

i eneter a game lobby then  when i eneter the game lobby it says hacker when im not even a hacker but it started happening when i started to play this game again and i forgot my password but now i know it and now when i log on it lets me in but i cant play and game and it shows a little box saying ''hack detected'' please help me do i need to download it again or that means that i am banned forever or sumthing?

When I launch bout cheetah it says " Internet issues have been detected, however, you can still press start to attempt to play.
Pressing start does nothing and rogers online protection says that the file contains a virus. can anyone help me? it has been years since I have play this game and really want to play again.

well after looking into it, the bout.dat file that the patcher downloads is a virus and my computer firewall is quarantining the file. So my question is: is this file going to give a virus to my computer or what. A reply from an admin/moderator would be very helpful to decide if i am going to play this game or not.

i did turn my firewall off when i load it i also reinstalled 3 times but, it does the same problem as i stated above

their is no zylonshield folder the only txt file i found is LauncherLog.txt

Here's something for ya.

I log into the game normally, go past everything that's normal, but then when i get past the screen where you select High or Low channel and click on the Channel BoutCheetahHigh, it simply turns the red button blue and doesn't do anything else. ,-,

I have the same problem here and i deleted the settings file .ini.
so now if i want to launch BC the shield protector or something shows up,
when i press start , it goes and nothing happens, what now ? Thx
