Isn't the client coded by JAVA or C++? In a programming language everything is possible. There is nothing called "IMPOSSIBLE" because you start programming and create your own world.

Spectator mode is possible, I think that the programmers should just make an extra 8 slots for spectators and then 2-3 slots extra for admin/mod only.

Sorry, but it's impossible to add more slots to this game.  If you think the lag is bad with 8 people, imagine 16.  And when I say it's impossible, I mean its not gunna happen unless tbots kindly hands over the source to the game.
