Edit the other drops too please :)
Perhaps you could make +1 90% and add regular items as drops too but put them as 100%?

then its not 100% now is it :P and by logical means of elimination if there is a drop and its not +2-+5 then it will be +1 thus 100% that when a drop does occure you will most likely get +1

It was stated that its the % drop from red boxes, red boxes are not 100% though o.o

I see its now harder to get +4 or +5 items that just made me to never return lol.

Lowered production (In this case, box drops) = less consumers (In this case sectorers) and higher prices.
So basically 1) less people will sector and 2) sectorers will spend less time sectoring.
And the amount of +5 will remain fairly constant, meaning that those who already have it (either by working for it or by having it given to them) will keep it, and everyone else gets screwed over.

AND those who already have it can basically decide its price, and sell it for such.

Bad idea >_>

I really don't see how anything you just said is bad, especially when people are still sectoring and this is a fairly old thread. This happened ages ago and all has worked out thus far, so...

This be when the boat tips backwards, not sideways.
