There is 99 mins in the game. 10k kills / 99 mins = 101 kills per min = 1.68 kills per second =
1 kill per 0.6 seconds, for the whole 99 mins.
The map goes like this:

where x= mob.
As you can see there are 2 mobs close together that Ross can kill both in 1 hit, then Ross has to run to next 2 mobs.
It takes Ross around 1.5 seconds per batch (2 kills per 1.5 seconds (Yes Ross counted that is takes 1.5 seconds per 2 kills while playing.)) =
1 kill per 0.75 seconds.Lets now see how they compare:
To get 10k kills Ross needs 1 kill per 0.6 seconds
Ross calculated he gets 1 kill every 0.75 seconds, thus why he did not get 10k kills.
Ross actual kills per second based on the pic is 9705 kills / 99 mins = 98 kills per min = 1.63 kills per second = 1 kill per 0.61 seconds.
You go get 1.68 kills per second for 99 mins strait.
Just to note, the mobs can only spawn so fast, Ross had to wait at times for the mob to spawn as all the others were already killed.
