1: I like the effects, love the text but wrong theme >_> I see the lights like night club parties, etc. But that has no strong value or point in association with summer. It could be a New Year's party for all I care..

I'm sorry but from what I see here most of you have no imagination at all .. Okay I agree first doesn't look like summer at all.. But yet the others you all just need a little creativity and you'll get it. If there is something that should have been eliminated that's #1.

#2: Well If the clipping mask inside the text  was an actual signature it would have been a pretty smart thing.
#4: It's like a girl that has summer all over her.. The makeup, her nails, the bird on her shoulder, the flower in her hair.. Well like everything about her screams summer.. Oh and the dolphin in the ball..

I couldn't think of a way that represented summer overall so I decided to choose something that I'm sure most people do in the summer which is relaxing.
