Just would like to know a couple of answers

Firstly i just want to get into a new hobbie, and creating sigs and all sorts looks like fun so i would like to give it a try! which leads me to my first question

1. Please can someone give me a link to a decent programme/website?

2. If you can supply tips , they'd be much appreciated and since i would be a beginner it would be very helpful too!

you can either use gimp or photoshop

-gimp is more user friendly, it can still make decent signatures.

-ps is more advanced, has more option, can make better signatures with more advanced tecniques and you can find more data on it.

i'd start with gimp then try ps in the future (thats how i did)

Thanks i already have gimp installed and have some basic knowledge on it! So.. guess i'll try it out messing about with it!

i started with photoshop and within 2 hours i was able to make my first signature.
but people say gimp is easier to start with so choose whatever you want.

I had GIMP 2 already installed looked it up, and if i'm honest too much to understand so going to give a go at the photoshop trial i'm just downloading.. if i still can't guess il have to resort you youtube vid's

keep in mind that first times it'll be harder.. but you'll improve and learn to use the software better with time. also after using gimp for a while you'll probably be able to use ps aswell

Try to get the hang of PS. It may take longer because it is so much more worthwhile. If you get somewhere big by doing Gfx you'll find people using ps over GIMP so yeah.

Learning wise, you have to find out what suits you best. Tutorials are good but just pick up the techniques otherwise you'll get confused with different styles

^^ That took me an hour and a half to do due to the fact of trying different things starting to understands gimp abit more now at first i was confused on how to use the tools but makes more sense as the flow like suggested. Also, yeah i'm just going to keep experimenting with it and see how it goes.
